Vietnam: The Unjust War

During the last unit of Policy, we explored how war has affected the United States and the policies made during wartime. It is important to mention that the US has not declared war since 1942, during World War II against the Axis nations. For this Action Project we had to pick a war or conflict that the US was involved and argue why it was either justified or unjustified. I chose to argue why the Vietnam War was unjust not just on the basis of the US Constitution but also on the ideals that are set forth in the Declaration of Independence regarding political freedom and the right to autonomy as a nation.

Overall, I enjoyed this project and being able to argue the moral and philosophical aspects of the Vietnam War. I really enjoyed taking this course as a whole because it encompasses the other classes from this year, Art of Rhetoric and A Nation's Argument, well.
